About Spencer Vickery

My name is Spencer Vickery, I hold a bachelors degree in psychology and a masters degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology from the University of the West of England and I am a member of the Bristish Psychological Society (BPS).

As well as my training and education in psychology I have a wealth of experience in sport at an elite level having played golf as a professional for 7 years on top of a successful amateur career.

The combination of my university education and real world experience of performing under pressure and everything that comes with it allows me to have an almost unrivaled knowledge of the demands of sport.

During my masters degree I worked with Bristol Bears rugby under the supervision of David Alcock (chartered sport psychologist). Outside of this much of my work has been in golf, equestrian (dressage and show jumping), motorsport, tennis, and athletics. I have (and still do) work with both European and Ladies European Tour golfers, British Championship motocross riders, as well as national level competitiors in many others sports. On top of this I have worked in business with managers, directors, and CEO's to help manage similar stessors that athletes often experience.

Outside of work I am very family orientated whereby I have three young children with my wife Kathryn. I still continue to play sport as often as possible with golf still being a big part of my down time.

Feel free to drop me a message if you have any questions or would simply like to touch base :)
